The Heartland Study Club is comprised of a group of dental professionals who are dedicated to providing the very best patient care available. Through advanced education and training, they incorporate state-of-the-art technology, the newest and best dental materials, along with comprehensive treatment planning to give you the best dental care available. The doctors and staff in this group continue their education by spending countless hours in seminars and treatment planning sessions for the sole purpose of providing you, the patient, with the excellent care you receive in their office.
Not all dentists belong to this advanced education group. Membership in the HSC is through referral and invitation by the Study Club Board of Directors. As a member, your dentist pays a yearly tuition, much like tuition in a Communiversity. That money is used to pay for lectures and training from the very best dental educators and researchers in the world. Once a dentist receives their license, they only have to attend a minimal number of education courses every five years. The doctors in this club spend up to 50 hours per year in advanced education not because it is required, but because they are committed to giving you the very best care. Dental and medical procedures and technology are changing rapidly. Through the Study Club, your doctor has the knowledge and experience to provide you with the most current and best care available.
The HSC is one of 180 Seattle Study Club dental education groups in the world. These clubs are located in most major cities in the country and also Canada, Europe and Australia. The HSC is the only club to receive the prestigious Study Club of the Year and also the Michael Cohen Award, which is given for outstanding contribution to the Seattle Study Club Worldwide Network.
The Heartland Study Club sponsors programs and internationally recognized speakers for our area high schools. We have sponsored motivational and inspirational speakers to high school students and have donated library books and tapes for continued educational needs for these schools.
The Study Club also developed the Heart in Hand Program in which the members of the club donate their special talents to provide dental care to an individual who is in great need but unable to afford the treatment.
